Moving on. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has raised strong objections to the shoot of a scene of Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 on the premises of a gurdwara. The general secretary of the apex gurdwara body, Gurcharan Singh Grewal, said the movie’s hero and heroine can be seen in a particular act in the gurdwara which was objectionable. Grewal in a tweet wrote – “Flower petals are being showered on the actors. Moreover, Gatka experts (of a Sikh martial art) could be seen performing around them.” Expressing displeasure, Gurcharan Singh Grewal said Sunny Deol and the director of the movie should understand that a gurdwara is not a place for shooting such a scene.
Film director Anil Sharma, who is looking forward to the release of Gadar 2, revisited the time when he worked with Salman Khan on the 2010 film Veer, and with Priyanka Chopra on her debut Bollywood film, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy. Talking about Khan, Sharma told ETimes, “I had a great time working with Salman. People say awful things about him and that he goes to parties. These are all nonsense. He is only focused on his work. I have never seen him talk ill about anyone.” Talking of Priyanka, he said – “She was quite raw when I met her. She is a damn good actor. But, she would never pull anyone down to move ahead.”

A website claimed that the duo was seen by fans in Vancouver at a premium casual dining restaurant, where they were laughing and being “touchy”. Diljit quote-tweeted the tweet and replied in his inimitable style – “Yaar…there is something called privacy!” Fans of the duo were in splits in the comments section and wondered if the two did indeed go out for dinner. The 1983 classic, written by Gulzar, marked the directorial debut of Kapur, who went on to helm films like Mr India and Bandit Queen. Sanjay Kapoor made his acting debut with Satish Kaushik’s 1995 film Prem, which didn’t do well at the box office, but soon after, the success of his second film Raja signalled the actor’s grand arrival in Bollywood. The younger brother of superstar Anil Kapoor, producer Boney Kapoor, and Reena Marwah, Sanjay, in a new interview, acknowledged the comparisons that were made between them. Sanjay told Bollywood Hungama – “My first film was being compared to Anil’s last film. When my career started, Anil was a super-duper star. He was the person who had given Mr India, Tezaab, and Ram Lakhan. I knew the comparison would happen.” Sanjay will soon be seen in Bloody Daddy, alongside Shahid Kapoor.
Lastly, Actor Jackie Shroff said that he once hit Anil Kapoor for real while shooting a fight sequence for a film. He had heard from actor Gulshan Grover that Kapoor was known to hit his co-stars during fight scenes because he got so invested in the process. In a recent interview with actor Mukesh Khanna, Shroff shared – “Gulshan complained to me. So, I punched Anil for real during the shoot of Yudh. And, immediately, I told him, ‘You look so good sir, so strong, so handsome.'” Shroff however confessed that he considers Anil to be a more skilled actor than himself, and he doesn’t mind if the former got more screen time.
