“Madhur Bhandarkar’s “”India Lockdown”” will retell the story of how the country came to a standstill after Covid-19 hit the country. His ZEE5 original, which releases today, will relive the horrors of the time that affected people of all strata, as they fought for basic survival. Shweta Basu Prasad essays the role of Mehrunissa, a sex worker, struggling to survive, during the lockdown.

“Moving on, Actor Paresh Rawal revealed in a recent interview that there is a lot to learn from Amitabh Bachchan, beyond his considerable skills as a performer. Recalling Bachchan’s well-publicised financial woes during the 90s, Rawal said that Bachchan handled the situation with uncommon dignity.
In an appearance on Neelesh Misra’s The Slow Interview series, Paresh Rawal remembered asking Bachchan about that time, and what struck him the most was his response. Rawal had asked him then if he had confided in his family when things became very difficult. And Bachchan had said, ‘Why? Let them live their life.’ Rawal recalled that Bachchan owed people so much money, but he had never bad-mouthed anybody.”
“Shehnaaz Gill’s fans love her unfiltered nature, but during the latest episode of her chat show Desi Vibes, the actor said that she was sometimes afraid of letting her guard down because some trolls on the internet believe she was doing this to gain sympathy.
Her latest episode featured actor Ayushmann Khurrana and during a chat about displaying their emotions in public, Ayushmann called her “courageous” as she was not afraid of being herself. To this, Shehnaaz said that she had also started refraining from sharing what she truly feels. Shehnaaz lost her dear friend, actor Sidharth Shukla, in 2021. The two had been close since their time on Bigg Boss and Shehnaaz had often expressed her fondness for him on the show.”
“Recently, in an interview, actor Piyush Mishra called out people who have been speaking against the Vivek Agnihotri directorial “” The Kashmir Files””.
He said that those who are calling the film a ‘propaganda’ film haven’t been to Kashmir or haven’t seen the “real India.” The film had once again become a topic of discussion after Israeli filmmaker Nadav Lapid called it a ‘vulgar’ and a ‘propaganda’ film at the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India earlier this week. The film starred Anupam Kher in the lead role, and became a word-of-mouth hit, earning nearly Rs 340 crore at the global box office.”
