Filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra recently opened up about how he slipped into alcoholism after the box office failure of his 2009 film Delhi 6. The film, which starred Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor, did not strike a chord with the audience at the time. In a recent chat with Siddharth Kannan, he shared – “What happens first is that you feel that something wrong has happened with you and you start blaming the world for it, then you escape it. At first, I was angry, then I was in denial and then came the acceptance that maybe the film lacked something. When that realisation comes, you bounce back.” Post Delhi 6, Rakeysh went on to direct Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
