“Let’s begin with our top story. After the numerous controversies that Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s Pathaan song Besharam Rang got embroiled in, YRF has released the second song from the highly anticipated actioner called “Jhoome Jo Pathaan.” The dance track sees not only Deepika but even superstar SRK grooving to the upbeat music.
The song has been composed by the musical duo of Vishal-Shekhar and sung by Sukriti Kakar and Arijit Singh. The song has been shot in scenic locales and sees SRK dancing on screen for the first time in over four years. Earlier, Pathaan director Siddharth Anand shared in an interview that the second song from the film is a tribute to the character of Pathaan himself.”
Moving on, Producers Siddharth Roy Kapur, Dheer Momaya and director Pan Nalin, the team behind India’s official entry to the Oscars Chhello Show (Last Film Show), were ecstatic that their film has been shortlisted in the ‘International Feature Film’ category at the 95th Academy awards. Four Indian films have been shortlisted across various categories, including Chhello Show for International feature film, SS Rajamouli’s RRR for Music (Original song) for the track “Naatu Naatu”, filmmaker Shaunak Sen’s All that Breathes for best documentary feature film and Kartiki Gonsalves’ The Elephant Whisperers’ documentary short film.
Bollywood star Alia Bhatt is on a roll. After her lead act in Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial, Gangubai Kathiawadi appeared on The Guardian’s Best Performances list recently, the actor once again featured on the international site Screen Daily’s Performance of the Year category. Alia took to Twitter to express her gratitude. She was recently in the news when her colleague Vidya Balan mentioned during a Film Companion roundtable that it is ‘ridiculous’ how filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali walked away with all the applause after the film’s success. Gangubai Kathiawadi was released in February this year, and was both a critical and commercial success, earning Rs 129 crore in India alone.

Anil Kapoor won the Best Supporting Actor award for Thar and Raveena Tandon took home the Best Actor (Web series) award for Aranyak.

“Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan turned into the biggest Abhishek Bachchan cheerleader recently. The veteran actor celebrated Abhishek winning the Best actor award for Dasvi released earlier this year, which continues to stream on Netflix. Abhishek won the award at the recently concluded Filmfare OTT Awards in Mumbai.
Amitabh took to his social media platforms on Thursday morning, 22nd December and expressed how elated he was that his son won an award for acting. He also shared how Abhishek was “derided, ridiculed and mocked” for not tasting success early on. “
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty was full of praise for Ranveer Singh, who features as the lead actor in his upcoming film Cirkus. He also emphasised that the actor has proved his versatility as he has starred in films of varying genres like Gully Boy, Dil Dhadakne Do and Simmba. In an interview recently, he says, “He is very hardworking. We’ve worked together in three films, and we are close like brothers. He is working for the audience and is very sincere with his work. Who’s the next superstar? It’s Ranveer Singh.” Ranveer is now set to play a dual role in Shetty’s upcoming film Cirkus. The film is out in cinemas today.
“The first teaser of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s musical romantic drama “”Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat”” was released on Thursday, 22nd December. It stars Alaya F and Karan Mehta in the lead roles. The film had its premiere at the Marrakech Film Festival.
The teaser opens with Alaya F studying in a school. As the video plays, she seems to be madly in love with the character played by debutant Karan Mehta. The music of the film is composed by Amit Trivedi. Talking about Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat, Anurag Kashyap had earlier said in an interview – His film was about young people finding themselves, and finding love. Almost Love with DJ Mohabbat will release on February 3, 2023.”
“Lastly, Amit Sadh, known for shows like Breathe, and Avrodh among others, has had an interesting journey. In a recent chat with Chetan Bhagat on his podcast, Sadh recalled how he lived during his late teens and survived by working as a house help, security guard and salesman. The actor shared that after he was expelled from his school, he found work as a house help in Delhi’s Jor Bagh. He was fired after a week.
After, he worked as a security guard at a Benetton showroom. Sadh was last seen in the Amazon Prime Video series Breathe Into The Shadows Season 2.”
