“Let us begin this bulletin with news on filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri who took to Twitter on Tuesday evening to congratulate the team of Chhello Show after it was announced that the Gujarati film would be India’s contender for the 2023 Oscars.
“A big congratulations to the entire team of #LastFilmShow for being selected as India’s official entry. Wishing them the best film award at the #Oscars2023. I thank all the well-wishers and especially media which was rooting for #TheKashmirFiles.”
The Kashmir Files and RRR were both seen as top contenders for India’s official entry to the Oscars.

“SwatantryaVeer Savarkar, starring Randeep Hooda and produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Legend Studios, will go on floors as planned, even though director Mahesh Manjrekar has had to exit the project, owing to several commitments including Bigg Boss Marathi. The new director will be announced soon.
Manjrekar parted ways amicably as he did not wish to delay an already established schedule.
Producer Anand Pandit said in a statement, “Mahesh Manjrekarji is a very good director. We will work together in future. Our film, SwatantryaVeer Savarkar, requires absolute dedication and time. But due to Maheshji’s prior commitments, we could not match the dates as per our decided shooting schedules.””

Priyanka Chopra took to Instagram on Tuesday to share photos from her trip to New York City with her daughter Malti Marie. PC shared two photos with her daughter, without revealing her face, as they sat in the window of her hotel room and gazed at the tall skyscrapers all around them.
“Our first trip to the Big Apple,” wrote Priyanka in the caption. Dia Mirza, Ranveer Singh, and Sonali Bendre showered their love in the comments section of the post. Nina Dobrev wrote, “Best accessory in life .”

“Actor Swara Bhasker has called the boycott trend plaguing Bollywood a sort of mob mentality. These hate campaigns are said to be one of the main reasons why big-budget films like Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan flopped at the box office. In a recent interview, Connect FM Canada, Swara said “There’s an atmosphere of fear. This is an industry, there is this idea of not engaging in controversy. There is a genuine belief that the industry has, that if there’s a controversy happening, it’s best not to bother about it.”
Swara Bhasker was last seen in the film Jahaan Chaar Yaar alongside Shikha Talsania. The film was released on September 16.”
“Barring his maiden OTT series Tandav, filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar says none of his projects has been controversial in nature and he wants to continue following the same pattern. Tandav, starring Saif Ali Khan and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, was marred in controversy in 2021 and multiple FIRs were filed across the country over its alleged depiction of Hindu deities in a scene.
Zafar told PTI, “I am not a controversial filmmaker or storyteller, none of the films before my last outing Tandav has been controversial. I have respect for all communities and cultures. The beauty of Indian culture is we co-exist with a lot of love and mutual respect and I want to portray that in my films,””

There wouldn’t have been any Bangalore Days, Charlie, O Kadhal Kanmani, Kurup or the latest hit Sita Ramam with him had Dulquer Salmaan followed the suggestion he had received when he was working in an IT firm: Don’t become an actor.

“Filmmaker Anees Bazmee has set up his next directorial venture, an action-comedy movie from Zee Studios, the makers announced Tuesday. The untitled film is produced by Zee Studios in collaboration with Echelon Productions, a press release stated.
Bazmee, who is currently basking in the success of Kartik Aaryan-starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, said through the new film he wants to continue entertaining viewers. “After the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, I want to give our audiences an even bigger dose of entertainment, and this time it will be a larger-than-life action comedy. I am very happy to team up with Zee Studios, Vishal Rana and Rohini Vakil for this project.”””

Ayushmann Khurrana fans are in for a treat as his latest film Doctor G trailer dropped on Tuesday. The film will see the actor play a medical student, who is assigned to the gynaecology department. However, finding it to be a job suited for women, he tries hard to move to orthopaedics. What follows next is a hilarious and a bit cringy ride as he takes on the role, only to later risk a woman’s life because of his disinterest in the job. The film marks the directorial debut of Anubhuti Kashyap and also stars Shefali Shah and Rakul Preet Singh.
Doctor G will have a theatrical release on October 14.
