In our top story. Actor-filmmaker Kangana Ranaut has bankrolled Tiku Weds Sheru, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur in the lead roles. Speaking at the trailer launch event, Kangana said, “It feels like I am making yet another debut. This film is very special for me because I haven’t told anyone yet, but this film was launched earlier. Around six-seven years ago, Irrfan Khan sir and I were doing this film. Unfortunately, our director fell ill and we tried making it for the next three years but it never took off.” The actor-filmmaker then shared that she decided to pitch the film to Amazon Prime Video “just for fun” and the team ended up liking the script.

Moving on. Actor Sunny Singh is “super excited” about the biggest role of his career as he plays Laxman in Om Raut’s magnum opus Adipurush, the retelling of Ramayana, with Prabhas and Kriti Sanon. My family and friends are waiting for it with bated breath too.” The actor also spoke about co-star Prabhas. He said – “I got to work with Prabhas who is now like an elder brother to me. Music composer duo Ajay-Atul has delivered some superhit songs and their latest song “Jai Shri Ram” in Om Raut’s film Adipurush, has been trending on several music platforms. They admitted that this craze around the song scares them as going forward, they would be asked to create something better than “Jai Shri Ram”. Speaking to B4U Entertainment, Ajay said, “When Zingaat came, everyone was scared of that song, except us. But then we were told to make a song that can beat Zingaat. And now, Jai Shri Ram is a scary song. You always have to raise your bar and go forward from where you are.” Adipurush is out in theatres.

Lyricist Sameer Anjaan, who has given several hit Bollywood songs through the 90s and 2000s, is upset with the makers of Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film Animal. The pre-teaser of the film was released recently, and it featured the song “Dang Khadke” in the background. But, throughout the pre-teaser and on the poster of the film, the makers didn’t mention the name of the lyricist and the composer of the song. “Dang Khadke” is composed by Manan Bhardwaj, and the lyrics are by Bhupinder Babbal. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Sameer said, “Animal is such a huge film, even the sound recordist’s name is there on the poster. How can you do this injustice to the music fraternity and not give credit?”
