On the whole, DREAM GIRL 2 works due to the plot, extremely funny scenes, commercial treatment, and performances, especially that of Ayushmann Khurrana. At the box office, it has the potential of scoring big time with its target audience.

On the whole, the overall experience of watching Pooja in her true element getting caught up in some crazy situations is quite fun. The jokes and gags (the Gadar 2 and BTS reference) are witty and some are downright funny. Ayushmann is why you will go to watch the film in the first place and he doesn’t disappoint. Watch Dream Girl 2 cause it’s silly and funny and a chuckle and some good laughter in a theatre never hurt anyone

In conclusion, Dream Girl 2 fails to ring our dil ka telephone. And even when a scene comes close, it turns out to be a wrong number. We are going with 1.5 stars for this one but Ayushmann deserves the additional 0.5 rating.

It’s frenetic and politically incorrect, sometimes very funny, often on the nose, and delivered with the despair of a filmmaker who doesn’t want anybody in the audience to sneak a look at their cellphones. But you might, nevertheless, when the joke begins to wears thin. What might have been a lengthy episode on Comedy Circus or The Kapil Sharma Show of which Shaandilyaa is an alumnus begins to run out of juice, which no amount of oranges can fix.
