Divya Agarwal shocked everyone when she got engaged to Apoorva Padgaonkar, nine months after her breakup with Varun Sood. The Bigg Boss OTT winner has now revealed that she has known Apurva for the past seven years and also dated him for three years in the past. She said Apurva helped her get over her breakup with Varun, whom she dated for four years.
Talking about her relationship with Apurva, Divya said that she was in a relationship with her fiance before she met Varun, but they broke up. However, they continued to stay in touch and he was always that friend she could go to anytime. She was in a tough phase after breaking up with Varun and Apoorva was there for her as a best friend who stood by her like a rock.
Divya added that although she didn’t expect a proposal from Apurva, she knew in the back of her mind that he was the man she wanted to marry. Before breaking up with Varun in March this year, Divya was in a relationship with former Bigg Boss contestant Priyank Sharma. She said that they are yet to fix a date but she is sure that her marriage with Apoorva will happen next year.
“At first he felt we had long and different working hours, but now he understands. I always feel that in a relationship, even if two people are opposites of each other, what matters is how much one understands and adapts to what the other likes. We haven’t set a date yet, but the marriage will happen next year. Everything in my life happened unplanned. For now, I just want to enjoy my life with him,” Divya said about Apoorva in her interview with TOI.
In celebration of her 30th birthday, Divya shared a series of pictures from her engagement with Apurva. In one of the pictures, Apoorva can be seen kissing Divya, while in another picture, she is seen with her ring. Varun took to his Twitter to share a calm emoji. Many people speculated that he was showing his reaction to Divya’s engagement and expressed their disappointment that there was no hope for the two to be together anymore.
