Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs may have won Halloween this year, many online believe, by dressing as Batman’s archnemesis, The Joker, and flawlessly executing the performance.
Diddy has nailed Halloweens in years past—his take on Pennywise from Stephen King’s It from several years ago has resurfaced in a viral video—and this year is no different, with fans and social media users claiming it was Oscar-worthy.
“You can’t tell me @Diddy didn’t just earn a legit audition to be the next Joker,” Green Bay Packers alum Will Blackmon wrote on Twitter. “Bruh was in FULL character for an entire night.”
Dressed as Heath Ledger’s portrayal of Batman’s foe from the 2008 film The Dark Knight, Diddy even nailed the maniacal laugh, as he posted videos of himself wielding a fake machine gun and laughing before a toy grenade fell out of his pocket.
Diddy, who also goes by Puff Daddy, had an eventful evening taunting the streets of Los Angeles on Sunday night, and he even managed to terrorize a few celebrities along the way. Shortly after posting his debut video, he posted another to his Twitter, walking along the street until he stumbles upon rapper Tyler, the Creator.
“It’s going to be a glorious night!! Hahahaha,” he tweeted. In the video, Diddy once again laughs maniacally as Tyler, the Creator hangs out the side of a truck passing by.
“This is top tier,” Tyler, the Creator said before Diddy raised his gun toward him and demanded he “get out of the car.”
Later in the evening, Diddy came across Power actor Michael J. Ferguson, though it appeared that Ferguson might not have recognized Diddy beneath the costume, and the pair nearly got into an altercation.
In a clip that has now gone viral, Diddy and Ferguson were face to face in the street before taunting each other. Diddy, staying in character, let out another Joker laugh and said, “You’re a clown!” before he dropped the character.
They shared a heated exchange before Diddy decided to reveal his identity, and the two hugged it out afterward. Getting back into character, the rapper then told Ferguson to “come to the afterparty and change your vibration.”
On her Instagram, Kim Kardashian also shared a video of Diddy, coming up to her in full character, laughing before asking her, “Would you like to come play?”
She also shared a selfie of her and Puff together, writing underneath it, “never broke character.”
Newsweek reached out to a representative for Diddy for additional comment.
