Kangana Ranaut is never afraid to speak her mind in public and most of all her platform is Twitter. The actress was banned from the microblogging site for a long time, but yesterday she made a comeback. It seems that the emergency actress has been waiting for her Twitter account to be restored so that she can dig into the film industry again.
A day after returning to Twitter, Kangana Ranaut made a cryptic tweet on Wednesday morning. She called the film industry crude and crude and that they throw currency figures on the success of their projects. She added that this act of theirs reveals their low standards and the deprived lives they live, as if art has no other purpose. Condemning the industry so much that the actress seems to be interested in Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film Pathaan.
Kangana Ranaut is known for litigations and this time she is targeting the industry as a whole. She also indirectly teases the much-awaited SRK-starrer, which has created buzz around the world. In her series of tweets, she wrote that if artistes indulge in polluting the very thread of art and culture in the nation, they should do so discreetly and not shamelessly. She further added that they should celebrate cinema as a spectacular social experience rather than advertising money.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan broke records doing impressive business with the advanced collection and with the first day premiere it has already sold 5.56 lakh tickets on the opening day. The spy universe starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham is rated as a blockbuster directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj banner.
Check out Kangana Ranaut’s tweets:
The film industry is so crude and crude that whenever they want to project success on any endeavour/creation/art they throw flashing currency figures in your face as if art has no other purpose.
reveals their low standards and the deprived lives they live..— Kangana Ranaut (@KanganaTeam) January 25, 2023
Art initially flourished in temples and reached literature/theatres and finally cinemas. It’s an industry, but it’s not meant for big economic profits like other billion/trillion dollar businesses, that’s why the art/artists are worshiped, not the industrialists or the billionaires.

So even if artists indulge in polluting the very thread of art and culture in the nation, they should do it discreetly and not shamelessly…?

Instead of just promoting the money made, they should celebrate the fact that cinema is a spectacular social experience. It brings people together, the post-covid Hindi film industry is lagging behind, and all those who hope and try to change that, art has something to offer, even if it’s frivolous.

Why do we need to print posters and paint the city, read counting coins, stamp our posters with numbers? Really!! is that why we make movies? It’s not us, it’s just a recent trend, one bad mind can pollute the whole system, we need to correct our mistakes and rise and shine?

It’s a hit, no one told me numbers, I didn’t know how much Fashion or OUTIM made, I just knew they were huge hits because where there are numbers, there are toxic comparisons. Sometime from 2012-13 I started hearing 100cr a lot and when Queen did 85cr in India (contd)

So, this digital drama started just a decade ago, just how no man should expose how much money he has/made, please no bravado when it comes to movies.
You made good money, now work on your next project
Even if you didn’t continue to work please?— Kangana Ranaut (@KanganaTeam) January 25, 2023
On the professional front, Kangana is working on her next directorial Emergency.
