Debina Bonerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on April 3. They named their daughter Liana. While the couple shared glimpses of their newborn baby girl on Instagram, they refused to reveal her face in their posts. Debina and Gurmeet finally introduced their daughter Liana to the world three months after giving birth.
Taking to Instagram, Debina shared an adorable family picture in which she and Gurmeet are seen kissing their daughter’s head while holding her between them. “Introducing Liana… our hearts have united as one. Our hearts are so full – knowing that we are part of a beautiful community of such genuine people… who prayed for her and waited and longed to see her face,” she wrote.
Debina recently responded to social media users who criticized her for holding her newborn baby in a sloppy manner. The actress shared a video in which she is seen holding her daughter in one arm and singing an Elvis Presley song. After she posted the reel, while many of her fans admired her, some also started trolling her for the way she was holding the newborn baby.
Debina responded to trolls who keep asking why she calls her mother-in-law “aunt” and not “mom.” “You have so many questions!! Why do I hold my baby a certain way… Why do I call my mother-in-law aunty and not mommy… More questions? All I’m saying is that I’m surrounded by several pairs of protective arms as you can see saying it’s okay,” she wrote. She also shared a photo with her family.
Debina recently celebrated her first Mother’s Day and shared adorable photos on her Instagram. She had written: “Happy Mother’s Day to me! And to my mom who is my rock for guiding me smoothly through this journey (at all stages) what would I do without you AND to my mother in law for being the best breathing and trusting me ever.
“The journey of motherhood was made easier by my husband @guruchoudhary by being THERE whenever my body got tired. And @lianna_choudhary for making me a mom. You are my life, my little darling.’
