Aerem raised $2.5 million in Series A pre-funding
Solar financing platform Aerem said it has raised $2.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Blume Ventures.
The startup will use the funds to expand its loan portfolio, build its technology platform and hire across portfolios such as technology, product, finance and operations.
Founded in 2021 by Anand Jain, Aerem provides financing for rooftop solar projects to MSMEs, helping them reduce costs and become profitable earlier.
“Their end-to-end solution provides end-to-end engagement and is one to two years ahead of the market. Solar is in a good position where the macro (top-down) and micro (bottom-up) factors are incredibly aligned,” said Ashish Fafadia, partner at Blume Ventures.
HDFC Life has invested in venture capital firm Z3Partners Tech Fund
Life insurer HDFC Life said it has invested in a venture capital firm focused on technology and digital investments called Z3Partners Tech Fund, which is currently raising a fresh fund of Rs 500 crore.
Z3Partners has backed startups such as Shipsy, Gramophone, DealShare and Cyfirma to name a few.
It was founded by Gautam Patel, who has also invested in BigBasket, Pepperfry, OfBusiness, etc.
Z3Partners closed its second round of Rs 250 crore last year and says it is on track for a final close this year. Its average ticket size is around Rs 35-80 crore, which it invests in early-stage growth technology startups.

said it has appointed Sabari Viswanathan as its permanent chief technology officer.Sabari is an IIT-Madras alumnus currently residing in Pennsylvania, USA, and has worked for 20 years in the enterprise software space with companies such as Siebel, Zoom Systems, Arris, Cvent and Vertex, among others.
Sabari also has a keen interest in tennis and has won many amateur tournaments in the Bay Area.
ConveGenius inks with Goa government to drive education reforms
Launching education
says it has signed an agreement with the Goa government to carry out educational reforms in schools in the state as part of the Vidhya Samiksha Kendras project.As part of the deal, the Goa education department will launch academic, administrative and registration chatbots on ConveGenius’ conversational AI platform SwiftChat to record attendance and facilitate digital home learning, among other things.
