M2P Fintech Acquires Syntizen to Offer Regtech Capabilities

API infrastructure startup, M2P Fintech, on Tuesday announced the acquisition of Synthesized, a fintech startup providing customer onboarding solutions. The deal will enable paperless, instant and electronic identity and onboarding services for M2P fintech partner customers/merchants.

This marks fifth acquisition undertaken by fintech in the last 10 months. He took over two fintech businesses, theft (credit card startup) and Origa AI (loan recovery launch) in September 2021, followed by the acquisition of a major banking solutions provider BSG ITSOFT in February 2022 and a Bengaluru-based cloud-based lending platform Finflux in July.

Vamsi KoteCEO of Syntizen will take over product leadership role in M2P and will continue to build on the vision for Syntizen.

Pepper Content appoints former OYO top executive as CBO

Content marketplace startup Pepper Content on Tuesday announced the appointment of former Oyo executive, Harshit Vyas, as its Chief Business Officer (CBO).

Harshit was part of Oyo’s core management team and held multiple roles including Chief Operating Officer (COO) and CBO. Harshit previously worked with Pristyn Care as a key CXO with a focus on building new businesses for the healthcare provider.

In his new role Harshit will drive hyper growth in India and expand revenue in existing market categories. The appointment comes as part of the startup’s efforts to continue investing in and attracting world-class talent as a result of the boom in the global digital ecosystem, it said in a statement.

EV brand Ellysium Automotives launches electric scooters

Elysium Automotivesthe automotive division of the UAE-based group company Group META4has announced the launch of three electric scooters in the high-speed category under its EV two-wheeler brand in India EVEium.

The three scooters – COSMO, COMET and CZAR – are powered by 72V and 30/50/42Ah lithium-ion batteries respectively. The price ranges from ₹1.44 lakh to ₹2.16 lakh.

EVeium will be a fully made-in-India brand, with all EVeium scooters being manufactured at the META4 Voltly Energy group’s manufacturing plant. Voltly Energy recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Telangana government to acquire 15 acres of land in Zahirabad, Telangana for setting up an electric vehicle manufacturing unit. The brand has plans to invest over Rs 250 crore to set up the plant, which will be operational by the end of this fiscal year.

Healthtech startup TaCa Healthcare will hire 400-500 for 6 months

Health Technology Startup TaCa Healthcare on Tuesday said it plans to hire more than 400 professionals over the next six months. The company also plans to invest $12-15 million over the next 12-18 months to upgrade existing healthcare facilities in tier 2 and 3 cities and upskill surgeons.

The five-month-old startup, founded by Bidhan Chowdhury and Dr. Atul Peters, works with a large network of hospitals and medical specialists to provide affordable secondary surgical care to patients. The startup claims to have a presence in more than 30 cities across 7 states, including seven states – Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Haryana.

“Our mission is to revolutionize secondary surgical care in the country by making it affordable and easily accessible to the masses close to their homes. We will hire 400-500 people in the next six months as we accelerate our plans to strengthen our existing operations and expand to many more cities and states in the coming months,” said co-founder Bidhan Chowdhury.

Platfroms offers short-term elective surgery such as gallstone removal surgery, hernia repair/removal surgery, appendix removal surgery and piles, fissures and fistula surgery among others and focuses on ensuring equal access to high quality health services.

In June, the startup partnered with Medicover Hospitals, a multinational hospital chain with a presence in 11 countries in Europe and India.
