Cuttputli Digital Rights Price
Cuttputli was sold at Rs 180 Crores to Star Group with 120 Crores for digital rights for Disney + Hotstar and the rest 60 Crores for satellite rights. The 120 Crore price is Akshay Kumar’s salary for the movie and the movie was sold because of Akshay Kumar’s 5 movie deal with Star Group and his relationship allowed him to dump this movie on Disney. This is amongst the highest price paid for digital deals and shows how much are the OTT platforms overpaying for content
Is Cuttputli Hit or Flop
Cuttputli is an Average grosser with somewhere between 6 to 7 Million views. Cuttputli needed to reach more than 40 Lakh viewers in its opening weekend in India at Disney + Hotstar to be called an Average and should cross more than 70 lakh Views to be called a Hit. Cuttputli did not release at the box office so there are no collections to measure hit or flop so we follow the below criteria for hit or flop ( Note Disney + Hotstar has internal criteria and it takes global views into account while deciding if a movie is a success or not) and all the streamers have the data on completion rate i.e how many people finished watching the movie which decides whether the movie is good or bad.

Cuttputli Budget
It is estimated that Cuttputli had a budget of 150 Crores The production budget is estimated at 30 Crores and it is estimated that Akshay Kumar will take 120 Crores the value of digital rights as his fees leaving somewhere between 20 to 30 Crores as profit for producers without facing box office.
