Christopher Nolan‘s commitment to practical effects might be super high, which often drives him to implement authenticity in his movies. Oppenheimer

As per reports, Oppenheimer used nearly 200 VFX shots throughout the movie, which is indeed less than what most films use.
Tenet
Further comes Nolan’s 2020 hit Tenet. This summer blockbuster blew everyone’s minds, considering the fact that it used a bare minimum of 280 VFX shots throughout. Nolan thus mentioned, Tenet‘s “VFX shot count is probably lower than most romantic comedies”.
Dunkirk
Nolan’s 2017 war film, Dunkirk made headlines for its epic battle sequences and the authentic representation of brutality. But, a lesser-known fact about the movie mentions its surprisingly low use of VFX. Apparently, Dunkirk implemented nearly 429 VFX shots and mesmerized its audience.

The DC movie featuring Christian Bale is one of a kind that made its way to the silver screen. Where most superhero films are filled with CGI and VFX, Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises simply had 450 VFX shots.

The Dark Knight
