Chris Pine is quickly becoming the king of the Don’t Worry Baby pretense.
The actor was spotted playing go-between for the cast and crew – which includes Florence Pugh, Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde – both on the red carpet and in theaters for the film’s premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
Amidst all of the ongoing drama, an interview has gone viral that shows Pine, 42, seemingly “disengaging” while Styles, 28, answers a reporter’s question.
“I think my favorite thing about the movie is that it feels like … a movie,” Stiles says in the clip as Pine stares blankly at the floor.
“You know, it feels like a real, like a movie going to the movies. You know, the reason you go see something on a big screen,” the singer continued.
While it’s likely that Pine just got away with it, Twitter users couldn’t stop making hilarious comments about the Wonder Woman actor.
“Chris Pine looks like a white suburban mom the morning after a crying night with wine. Relax and differentiate yourself,” one person wrote.
Another self-confessed superfan chimed in, tweeting, “I’ve been a die-hard Chris Pine fan for almost 20 years, so I consider myself something of an expert and can confidently say he’s rethinking all of his life choices here…literally distancing himself from your surroundings.”
A third user wrote: “I’m just a Chris Pine breakup team.”
Another compared the actor to The Hunger Games’ Haymitch Abernathy, writing “why Chris Pine looks like he’s about to unwittingly train 74 Hunger Games tributes.”

In addition to the interview clip, one more Styles and Pine’s video went viral on Monday. Footage from the “Don’t Worry Darling” premiere showed what fans believe was Styles spitting on Chris Pine’s lap.
In the clip, the “Daydreaming” singer sat down next to Pine while seemingly directing his saliva onto the actor’s lap. Pine then froze and looked down before smiling and laughing to himself.
However, Pine’s rep told People on Tuesday that the alleged incident — hilariously dubbed “spitgate” — is a “ridiculous story” and “the result of a strange online illusion that is clearly fraudulent and allows for silly speculation.”
The rep continued: “Just to be clear, Harry Styles did it no spit on Chris Pine. There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a clear attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.
