Many of Olivia Newton-John’s colleagues in Hollywood have taken to social media to celebrate the actress’ legacy following her tragic passing. All eyes were on John Travolta, her “Grease” co-star, and his post left fans feeling all of the feels. He wrote on Instagram, “My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better. Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!”
Travolta was not the only celebrity to write a heartfelt message in honor of Newton-John. George Takei took to Twitter, “We have lost a great, iconic artist in Olivia Newton-John, gone too soon from us at age 73. I trust she is now in the great Xanadu beyond. Know that we are forever hopelessly devoted to you, Olivia. Rest in song and mirth.”
Actress Yvette Nicole Brown penned her shock and heartbreak, writing, “Olivia Newton-John has died. That’s it. I’m done guys. Heartbroken doesn’t even BEGIN to cover it. I ADORED her. I hate this so much. She was only 73. What is going on?! “
Singer Cyndi Lauper added, “I’m so sorry to hear the news about #OliviaNewtonJohn. She was such a nice person and a radiant bright light. She will be missed.” And singer Sara Bareilles weighed in, writing, “#OliviaNewtonJohn was one of my biggest influences and greatest musical loves. Rest In Peace you extraordinary sweet, kind, loving heart. You were and are a gift.”
It is clear she will be missed.
