Brad Pitt is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, and over the years, the actor has not only managed to deliver some iconic performances on screen, but he’s also managed to develop his off-screen personality with some charmingly honest admissions he’s made in recent interviews. The 59-year-old actor has been open about his Hollywood journey, sobriety and more over the years.

Brad Pitt is considered by director Quentin Tarantino to be one of the “last remaining movie stars”. The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood director spoke about Pitt, saying: “He’s one of the last movie stars left on the big screen. It’s just a different breed of man. And honestly, I don’t think you can describe exactly what it is because it’s like describing star shine.” Over the years, the actor has managed to make some surprising revelations about his personal life, and as we celebrate his birthday, here are some of them.

Brad Pitt shares his thoughts on aging

In an interview with Vogue, the actor opened up about his thoughts on aging and shared his distaste for the term “anti-aging.” He said: “I don’t want to run from aging. It’s a concept we can’t escape, and I wish our culture would embrace it a little more by talking about it in those terms.”

Brad’s advice for prioritizing people

The pandemic proved to be a time when everyone learned something, and Brad also shared his quarantine lessons. Speaking to Vogue, he talked about prioritizing people, adding: “The older I get, the more I think about quality of life and time spent, and I’d certainly like to steer it more in that direction. I think after isolation it seems to be on a lot of people’s minds – like how do we spend our time, why do we work so hard, what do we dedicate our lives to? And I think family and friends at the end of the day is all that matters.”

Brad Pitt is getting real about sobriety

Brad Pitt has been open about his alcohol addiction and the actor talks about dealing with it in an interview with GQ. The actor spoke about getting sober and attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, saying: “I had a really great men’s group here that was really private and selective, so it was safe. Because I had seen other people’s stuff that was recorded while they were spilling their guts and it’s just horrible to me.”

Brad Pitt’s Prosopagnosia Condition

The Babylon star made a surprising revelation during her recent interview with GQ and opened up about her rare neurological condition. The actor revealed that he suffers from prosopagnosia, better known as “face blindness”. The actor mentioned that despite not being officially diagnosed, he added, “No one believes me! I want to meet someone else [person with it].”

Brad Pitt’s recurring dream

In another candid admission the actor made in his interview with GQ, Pitt revealed that he had a recurring dream and revealed details about it. He said: “For a solid four or five years there, the most prevalent dream I would have was being jumped and stabbed. It would always be at night, in the dark, and I’d be walking down the sidewalk in a park or along a boardwalk, and when I’d pass under an Exorcist-like street lamp, someone would jump out of the abyss and stab me in the ribs.”
