Bollywood celebs seem to be going gaga over the film, gushing over Allu Arjun and talking of how good the film is. Arjun Kapoor wrote, “Pushpa is not a film. It’s an experience, a juggernaut of attitude intensity & coolness put together in one smooth poetic motion picture…@alluarjunonline for me was always Arya all these years and as a fan to see him go from Arya to Pushp was just amazing. (sic)” His sister Janhvi Kapoor also called Allu Arjun, “The coolest man in the world. (sic)” Bunny seemed overwhelmed as he thanked them for the love.
Director Kunal Kohli even went as far as comparing him to Amitabh Bachchan, writing, “@alluarjun A One man show, like the solo films of @SrBachchan as the angry young man. Mard. Son. Friend. Lover. Tactician. Hero. All rolled into one character, in an award winning performance. Beyond cool. Restrained action & dance making it, new & brilliant. (sic)” while filmmaker Karan Johar wrote, “ALLU ARJUN @alluarjun in #pushpa !!!!! INCREDIBLE!!!! What stardom! What a performance!!!!!! (sic)” Other Bollywood celebs too shared their love for the actor and film both.

Even sports people like Jwala Gutta and Pragya Ojha couldn’t help but gush. Allu Arjun took the time out to personally reply to all of them. Pushpa: The Rise hit screens in December 2021 and told the story of Pushpa Raj, a coolie who rises in the world of red sanders smuggling as a king-pin. With the introduction of a powerful cop played by Fahadh Faasil at the end of the film, Sukumar sets things up for Pushpa: The Rule. Further details are awaited.
