Thiruvananthapuram: The curtain is down for the 27th International Film Festival of Kerala at Nishagandhi Theatre on Friday.
‘Utama’, directed by Alejandro Loayza Grisim, received the Suvarna Chakoram for Best Film.
The Rajata Chakoram for Best Director was awarded to Tayfun Pirselimoglu for the film ‘Kerr’.
Ariyippu, directed by Mahesh Narayanan, received the NETPAC Award for Best Malayalam Film.
Lifetime Achievement Award was given to legendary Hungarian filmmaker Béla Tarr.
The NETPAC Award for Best Asian Film is awarded to ‘Alam’ directed by Firas Khoury.
The FFSI KR Mohanan Award for Best Debut Director from India is awarded to Siddharth Chauhan for the film ‘Amar Colony’.
‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam,’ directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery received the Lalitha Chakoram award based on the audience poll.
Cultural minister VN Vasavan inaugurated the closing ceremony in the presence of ministers V Sivankutty, K Rajan, and noted writer M Mukundan.
