In last night’s episode of Bigg Boss 16, viewers witnessed Shalin Bhanot and MC Stan getting into an ugly argument during the nomination task. The two eventually started swearing at each other and the housemates had to intervene before their heated fight turned violent. MC Stan threatened Shalin that his fans were watching. Shalin’s parents expressed their dismay at the rapper’s apparent death threats against their son on national television.
Shaleen’s parents wrote a heartfelt note to the makers of the Salman Khan-hosted reality show, asking them to keep the competition healthy and safe. They said that after watching last night’s episode, they feel worried about the safety of their son and family as MC Stan was seen threatening Shalin with consequences outside the Bigg Boss 16 house.
They questioned MC Stan’s actions and asked the creators how the threatening footage was allowed to air on national television, adding that more threats poured in from fans during last night’s episode. Although Shalin’s parents are confident that their son will emerge as the winner, but ultimately the show is for entertainment purpose and such a life and death situation is alarming.
“Namaste and thank you for all the love you have showered our son Shalin with. Shalin signed up for this truly amazing journey that is full of challenges. We are sure that he will come out as a winner of hearts and love. However, we are worried! Last night we saw our son receiving death threats on national television, it was alarming. Post the episode, threats keep pouring in through fandoms and we’re wondering how is that?”
“It’s a reality show, but at the end of the day it’s for entertainment. Why do we bring life and death and death threats into all of this? Our family is genuinely concerned and we want to know how this is allowed to be on national television? We are worried about our son, his safety and the safety of our family! There is nothing other than our son’s happiness and safety that matters to us,” the letter reads.
During the nomination task, Stan and Tina got into a war of words after he nominated her. Shalin jumped into it and got into a heated argument with Stan, who responded by saying he would slap a lafa (slap). Shalin then said to Stan, “Tereko maar dunga yahin khade khade.”
Both became abusive. Stan then walked towards Shalin, shouted at him and said, “Ma-baap pe mat ja.” When Shalin told Stan that he had started the fight, Stan told him in Hindi, “All my friends are watching this, do you want to live or not?”
