West Wittering is a stunning village within easy reach of Surrey on the south east coast of England. Located 45-minutes’ drive from Haslemere, it is adored by families and celebrities alike with thousands of people flocking there every summer for a slice of summer fun.
The seaside resort is home to one of the best beaches in the UK, offering miles of natural, unspoilt sand. The Blue Flag destination has excellent facilities and is a favourite destination for many.

As well as refreshments, the beach has toilets, a car park and offers water sports including stand up paddleboarding and surfing. The beautiful location is surrounded by nature reserves and National Trust land offering further places to embrace the great outdoors.
There are camping sites, caravan parks and bed and breakfasts dotted along the coast for those wanting to spend longer than a day trip, and there are some amazing properties home to celebrities including Oscar winning-actress Kate Winslet, Rolling Stones star Keith Richards, singer Michael Ball, Only Fools and Horses star Nicholas Lyndhurst.
As you might expect in such a star-studded neighbourhood, the idyllic beach resort is not a cheap place to live with properties fetching on average £862,740 last year, according to Rightmove. The majority of sales in West Wittering during the last year were detached properties, selling for an average price of £1,118,329.
However, West Wittering is still not as expensive as some parts of Surrey. Properties in Churt near Farnham had an overall average price of £1,033,846 over the last year, according to Rightmove, while homes in Oxshott went for £2,004,444.
Furthermore, properties in Virginia Water sold for a whopping £2,171,534 on average.
