TOP STORY: Harry Kane in talks with Bayern Munich to replace Robert Lewandowski
Bayern Munich have spoken to Harry Kane‘s representatives for a potential move to the club. That’s according to BILD, who report that the England captain’s camp have not ruled out a move to Germany, opening up the possibility of a transfer.
It comes as an attempt to replace the Bavarian outfit Robert Lewandowski, who left the club this summer for Barcelona. The 33-year-old scored 344 goals in 375 games during his eight-year stay.
While Bayern signed Sadio Mane from Liverpool, they may miss the presence left by the void of someone like Lewandowski. Tottenham striker Kane has been touted as an option as he has the experience to lead a line and the goalscoring attributes to replace the Poland international.
The 28-year-old has two years left on his contract after a failed move to Manchester City last summer. However, talks are said to be underway over a new deal that could see him stay in north London and add to his 247 goals in 385 games for Spurs.
Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann told reporters on Friday while in the US on the club’s pre-season tour: “He’s very expensive, that’s the problem – but a brilliant player, one of two or three who can play as a centre-forward [as well as a] Not 10 but he is very strong, brilliant with [his] the head and both legs.

13.24 BST: Several clubs from Europe’s top leagues are interested in the 16-year-old Portuguese prodigy Roger Fernandezaccording to Diario AS.
Winger Fernandes, who plays for Braga, has already broken records as the youngest goalscorer in the club’s history and the second youngest to play in the Europa League.
AS reports that Atletico Madrid would offer three players in exchange for Fernandes, with Newcastle United, Borussia Dortmund and Ajax also interested.
12.57 BST: Brahim Diaz said he is “happy, both personally and professionally” at Milan as he prepares to spend another year on loan at the club.
Diaz helped AC Milan win Serie A last season, scoring three goals in 31 appearances in his second year in Italy.
The club have the option to make his move permanent, while parent club Real Madrid also retain the right to bring him back in 2023 if they choose to do so.
“I want to do my best for (Milan) and keep developing,” Diaz said in an interview with AS on Saturday. “It was great. We knew we had a very talented team and that it was possible to make history (by winning the league) and in the end we did.”
12.11 BST: The goalkeeper of Manchester United David De Gea told ESPN he would like to stay at the club for the rest of his career.
De Gea, 31, is preparing for his 12th season at Old Trafford, with Erik ten Hag the eighth manager he has worked under in that time.
The Spain international almost joined Real Madrid in 2015, but he told ESPN’s Rob Dawson during a wide-ranging interview in Perth during United’s pre-season tour of Australia that he was ready to end his playing days at Old Trafford .

10.38 BST: Both Barcelona and AC Milan are interested in signing Aston Villa’s young attacking midfielder Carni Chucumeka but could be forced to wait until next summer, reports The Athletic.
Chukwuemeka, 18, scored three goals as England won the European Under-19 Championship in Slovakia earlier this summer.
The Villa academy graduate has a year left on his contract, which has led to interest from top clubs in England and across Europe.
However, Villa are demanding a fee of around £20m for a player who would only be worth around £400,000 in compensation if he moves after his contract expires.
09.51 BST: Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel admits he is ‘a bit’ annoyed with Barcelona for handling their pursuit of a defender Cesar Azpilicueta.
The 32-year-old Chelsea captain has a year remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge but wants to move to Camp Nou this summer.
Tuchel, however, does not believe Barca are offering Chelsea what the Spain international is worth, making the issue a stretch as the new season approaches.
Asked by reporters on Friday if the saga bothered him, Tuchel said: “Maybe a little.”
He added when asked about Azpilicueta’s future: “It’s a difficult question because I’m not sure if I want to give Aspi what he wants. [Kalidou] Koulibaly, who is a national player and is about the same age.
“He is an extremely important player for Napoli, but we have a Spanish international who is the captain of Chelsea. I see him maybe at the same level, but Barcelona don’t see him at that level. So I’m not sure if I want to give him what he wants because he’s a huge player.
“We don’t think so much about other clubs. The focus is on us and what we need. I said this to him and I say it to you that I understand on a personal and career level. But I’m not just in this role to give him what he wants. I am a Chelsea manager who wants to do the best for Chelsea. “He doesn’t like it, but he understands.
