Weighing in on the star power, megastar Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan have come together for the Koratala Siva Acharya directorial. However, the film turned out to be one of the biggest flops for the megastar. Investors also did not expect the film to be such a disaster. However, Chiranjeevi has no qualms about accepting the fact that Acharya was a fool as he praises Bimbisara, Sita Ramam and Karthikeya 2 for their success.
“After the pandemic, the number of people who come to the cinemas has decreased. That doesn’t mean they don’t want to come to theaters in general. If the content is interesting, they will! Bimbisara, Sita Ramam and Kartikeya 2 are examples. If we don’t concentrate on the script and content, people will not be interested. The philosophy of cinema has changed. Bad films are rejected on the second day of their release. I am one of the victims of this trend (referring to Acharya’s failure),” Chiranjeevi told reporters at the pre-launch event of First Day First Show.

Content should excite the audience, that’s the key. that’s why #Bimbisara #SitaRamam and #Kartikeya2 was working.#Chiranjeevi #Godfather#MegastarChiranjeevi pic.twitter.com/Cyt1x8by96— Chiranjeevi Army (@chiranjeeviarmy) August 31, 2022
Since Acharya was playing to empty halls, the producers had decided to go for an early OTT release in the hope of at least covering some losses. The film’s failure was also a disaster for Koratala Siva, who was declared a “failed” director before the film’s release. It was then reported that Ram Charan reportedly made up the losses as many investors hoping for a blockbuster invested a lot of money and lost money.
Unfazed by Acharya’s lukewarm reception at the box office, Chiranjeevi is now working on several projects with the younger directors. With Godfather all set to release later this year and Bholaa Shankar due early next year, Chiranjeevi is definitely going.
