Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma is one of the leading actresses in the film industry. The gorgeousness has proved her acting prowess in films like Jab Harry Met Sejal, Zero, Band Baja Baraat, PK, and many others. On the personal front, Anushka had got married to Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli, and the couple had welcomed their first child, Vamika Sharma Kohli in January 2021. And since then, the actress had taken a sabbatical to enjoy her motherhood phase.

Now, Anushka Sharma is making her comeback with the film, Chakda Xpress, which is a biographical drama based on the illustrious career of former Indian cricket team captain, Jhulan Goswami. Anushka Sharma has been working hard and sharing glimpses of her practise sessions on her IG handle, making her fans super excited for the film. However, in an interview with the Harper’s Bazaar magazine, Anushka revealed that she had doubts about her physical strength when she had started prepping for the role as she was filming for the first time after having a baby. Sharing that she felt nervous, Anushka said:

“I was a part of the inception of Chakda ’Xpress. I was supposed to have worked on it earlier but the film got postponed because of the pandemic and then I got pregnant. When I finally began working on it, I was really nervous because I had just had a baby so I wasn’t as strong as before. And I hadn’t trained for 18 months, so I wasn’t in the best physical condition—earlier, I would have really pushed myself to do different exercises in the gym.”

Anushka also mentioned that though she was not confident about her inner strength, she didn’t give up. She added that she wants to be a part of such films and she would always work for the films which are content-forward. In her words:

“But even though I wasn’t sure whether to take the project on or not, an inner voice kept telling me to do it. And that’s the kind of work I want to be a part of. I’ll always be open to doing projects that are interesting and content-forward.”
