television star Aashish Mehrotra started his journey in the industry with the TV show named Paanch. He is also known for his television shows Anupama Country and Ishq Mein Marjawan. He is in the limelight for his character named Paritosh aka Toshu in the show Anupamaa. He is shown as the eldest child of Anupamaa. The last song shows Toshu cheating on Kinyal during her pregnancy. At first he does not realize his mistake, but later when he realizes his sin, he begs for another chance. His character is certainly not positive and the actor feels that when the audience rejects him, he takes it positively. He feels he is doing justice to his role and the mass response is yet to mature as when one matures you know the difference between a star and a character.

The actor also revealed that Sir Rajan Shahi, who is a famous TV director and producer, called the actor to praise his performance. He was compared to Naseeruddin Shah and he ended up crying. The actor revealed that it was a big deal for him as his performance made the director cry. For the actor it was a big deal and he got a lot of pleasure. When Aashish lost his father due to COVID-19, Rajan was his pillar of strength and thanks to him he was able to perform his father’s last rites.

Talking about his character Toshu, the actor revealed to the same publication that he often receives a lot of messages from his fans telling him that he is not like his character. There is no one who describes the role of Toshu better than him. All this makes him feel good and he finally got the respect he was waiting for. That was the reason he came to Mumbai.
