Anil Kapoor and Sridevi’s pairing was hit in the 90s. The Shekhar Kapur directorial Mr. India became a milestone in the history of Indian cinema for its superhero genre. Recently, Anil Kapoor had also shared a rare picture from Mr. India sets with late Sridevi and director Shekhar Kapur which created a stir on the internet bringing back a lot of memories for everyone.

 

Moreover, Mr. India gave rise to several iconic elements that have become deeply ingrained in popular culture. From Sridevi’s unforgettable portrayal of the lovable journalist Seema to the timeless songs like ‘Hawa Hawai’ and ‘Kaate Nahi Kat Te’, the film’s music and characters have become synonymous with Bollywood nostalgia.

 

Mr. India featured, Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, late Satish Kaushik, Amrish Puri and Aftab Shivadasani. The film was directed by Shekhar Kapur and produced by Boney Kapoor.

 

Anil Kapoor was last seen in Jeremy Renner’s Rennervations in a cameo role after The Night Manager which received critical acclaim. His upcoming projects include Animal with Ranbir Kapoor and Fighter with Hrithik Roshan.
