Ananya Panday gets hurt when people call her ugly, flat-chested; says “what have I done so wrong”

There’s no denying that Liger actress Ananya Panday has been a soft target for online trolls. More often than not, she undergoes body shaming when people make derogatory comments about her. On Coffee With Karan 7, Ananya recalled when people called her ugly and flat-chested when she was just 19. When Karan Johar asked Anania if trolling ever affected her mental health, she replied, “Of course it does. I can’t sit here and pretend that I’m happy or that I’m very strong and I can handle anything because I think as a 19-year-old when you’re constantly being told that you’re ugly or flat-chested or you look a certain way, or you insult my parents or my sister, it gets a little scary and I get a little sad sometimes because I’m like what did I do so bad, you know.” Also Read – Koffee With Karan 7: Ananya Panday opens up about ex Ishaan Khatter, Kartik Aaryan affair rumors and new crush Aditya Roy Kapur

She added: “Because I try to be a nice, nice person. I work very hard. I am very sincere in my work. I like to play. I’ve wanted to be an actor for as long as I can remember, so sometimes I’m just like I’m just a girl trying to do my job. I don’t know what I did so badly to hurt or offend people. Last year, Anania had spoken of being body shamed even before stepping into the industry with The Apprentice Year 2 in 2019. She was often harassed on social media during her family outing and this had an adverse effect on online trolling her. Then she said she reached a point where she just focused on accepting herself.

Ananya is on a promotional spree for her upcoming film Liger, which marks the big Bollywood debut of Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda.
