After a hiatus of four years, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan returned to the big screens with Pathaan, which took a record-breaking opening. The massive success of Pathaan has left fans excited for SRK’s upcoming flick, Jawan, which is currently being shot. A few days back, there were speculations that South sensation Allu Arjun will be seen playing a cameo in the Atlee Kumar directorial. However, it seems unlikely to happen as the Pushpa actor has a “choco block schedule.”
Allu Arjun is NOT doing Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan for Pushpa 2: Reports
If a report by Pinkvilla is something to go by, then Allu Arjun is NOT doing Jawan for various reasons, one being the sequel of his hot film Pushpa. The portal quoted a source saying, “The narration happened with the makers but Allu Arjun couldn’t say yes to the film due to his choco block schedule. AA has been training rigorously to get into the skin of his character for Pushpa: The Rule and for the next few months, he is only going to focus on it. Pushpa 2 shoot is underway at a fast pace with two major schedules wrapped in Vizag and Hyderabad.”
The source further added, “Allu Arjun did take his time to think about Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, where he was offered a small yet impactful role but it’s quite difficult to choose over Pushpa.” It is worth mentioning here that neither the makers nor the actor have issued an official statement, either for casting or for saying no to the project.
Coming back to Jawan, readers may recall that Bollywood Hungama had recently reported an interesting piece of information regarding the distribution rights of the forthcoming film. A source had told us, “Almost six months ago, Zee Studios was in talks with Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment, also the producers of Jawan, to come on board as the studio partner. But Zee had to decline as the acquisition cost went above Rs. 300 crores, to around Rs. 350 crores.”
Besides King Khan, the ensemble star cast also features Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priya Mani and Sanya Malhotra, among others.
