All the royals on the front row of Fashion Week 2022

Over in Milan, things were heating up, and fresh from her runway cameo, Lady Amelia Windsor took her seat at Versace’s SS23 show; a gem encrusted masterclass in gothic glamour with a sign-off from Paris Hilton. However, she wasn’t alone, as Princess Diana’s nieces, Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer were on hand to provide the perfect twinning moment in co-ordinating cashmere ensembles. They were later spotted in leather and denim at the Tod’s presentation.

But Paris, the birthplace of chic, is the city where royals from across the globe truly dominate. This season, Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya of Thailand made the most appearances. Saint Laurent, Giambattista Valli, Elie Saab and Dior; Thailand’s style sovereign has become part of the furniture when it comes to Paris Fashion Week.

Two mavens of the Monégasque throne flocked to Dior to join Sirivannavari; Princess Alexandra of Hanover and her sister-in-law Beatrice Borromeo (the wife of her step-brother, Andrea Casiraghi). The pair looked divine in monochromatic Dior ensembles. Alexandra imbued Riviera elegance in Breton stipes while Beatrice opted for a tailored look, embroidered with white floral patterns. Posing arm-in-arm on arrival, the young faces of Monaco’s monarchy shared a friendly glance as they smiled and laughed, eagerly awaiting the latest collection. Their cousin, Pauline Ducruet was missing from the event, but did manage to make an appearance at Acne in a denim smock dress and balloon-sleeved blouse.

Chanel, too, was a hotbed for royal faces. Sirivannaravari once again commanded attention in thigh-high boots and a crystal-adorned cardigan, while Charlotte Casiraghi, Princess Caroline of Monaco’s daughter, chose a more classically-Chanel appeal with a black and white tweed skirt set. On the front row, Casiraghi caught up with brand ambassador Kristen Stewart who recently portrayed Princess Diana in the critically-acclaimed Spencer with an exclusively Chanel wardrobe. Fact or fiction – we’ll take it, as long as it’s Chanel.
