Alia Bhatt opens up on her decision to have Raha at the peak of her career, wonders why men are not asked the same questions | Hindi Movie News

Alia Bhatt is currently on a personal and professional high, basking in the success of her latest movies and enjoying motherhood to the fullest. Recently, the 30-year-old opened up on her decision to have daughter Raha at the peak of her career, while raising some pertinent gender biases that we live amidst in the society.

In an interview to a leading publication, Alia said that it is indeed sad that a man is never questioned when he has a child at the peak of his career. She also went on to add that she was asked if she was willing to slow down her pace because she was having a family. Alia added that her decision was not ‘brave’ as others put it, rather it was purely led by love. Moreover, after a decade of working relentlessly, Alia thought it was the right time to start a family.
Calling it a ‘natural and happy’ decision, Alia said that she is someone who always follows her heart, whether it is for personal or professional decisions. Elaborating more, the actor said that she could be offered the biggest movie ever, but if her heart does not agree to it, she will not go ahead.
Alia will now be seen Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh. The movie also features Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in lead roles. It will hit theatres in July this year.

Apart from this, Alia will also be seen making her Hollywood debut with ‘Heart of Stone’ co-starring Gal Gaddot and Jamie Dornan.
