Javed Akhtar was lauded by his countrymen after attacking Pakistanis for the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, he was hailed for his courage to speak publicly in Pakistan while attending the Faiz Mela in Lahore. Javed Akhtar even expressed a thought about how we Indians welcome all Pakistani artists in India but till date Lata Mangeshkar has not been invited to their country. And now Pakistani actor and singer Ali Zafar has criticized Javed Akhtar for his remarks and called them insensitive. Ali was hounded by Pakistani users for posting a video of Javed Akhtar attending a music event in Pakistan while he thanked him for attending as he was unaware of his comments. Ali took to his Instagram and clarified and was unaware of Javed Saab’s comments regarding Pakistanis regarding the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
Ali slammed Javed Akhtar’s comments calling them insensitive and wrote in his Instagram post, “Guys I love you all and I really appreciate your praise and criticism equally. But I always demand one thing – check the fact before you reach any conclusion or judgement. I had not attended the Faiz Mela nor did I know what was said until the next day when I saw it on social media.”
The post also read: “I am a proud Pakistani and naturally no Pakistani would appreciate any statement against his country or people, especially at an event meant to bring hearts closer than ever. We all know how much Pakistan has suffered and continues to suffer at the hands of terrorism and such insensitive and unnecessary remarks can deeply hurt the feelings of so many people.”

Javed Akhtar also reacted to the comments he made in Pakistani about the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, saying that everyone present agreed with him.
