There will be fireworks at the box office on August 11. Two of the biggest films will clash at the box office. Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s movie Bridge 2 will come out and clash with Akshay Kumar’s film Oh my god 2. There is a huge buzz surrounding both the films. The trailers have left everyone intrigued. While fans are excited about Gadar 2 as it has nostalgic value, OMG 2 touches on a controversial subject. What about the box office collections of these movies?
OMG 2 day 1 box office collection forecast
As reported by Koimoi.com, OMG 2 is expected to take a decent start at the box office despite clashing with Gadar 2. The report states that the film is expected to make Rs 12 to Rs 15 crore from the first day at the box office. The number is much better than that of Akshay Kumar’s film Selfiee. The February 2023 release had a very poor start at the box office as it made an estimated Rs 2.55 crore on its opening day. OMG 2 will start much better than this. Akshay Kumar has had a tough time at the box office with his last few releases in the form of Selfiee, Ram Setu, Raksha Bandhan and others. However, it looks like OMG 2 will get him back on the road to success. OMG 2 also features Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam and others in pivotal roles.
Gadar 2 on the other hand is expected to get off to a flying start at the box office. Advance ticket bookings for the film are going full steam ahead and if the buzz surrounding Gadar 2 translates into business, the film could become one of the highest grossers of the year. Gadar 2 directed by Anil Sharma has already intrigued everyone with its trailer and songs. Recently the song Main Nikla Gaadi Leke hit the internet and once again made all the Sunny Deol fans go wild. After almost two decades, the love story of Tara Singh and Sakina will entertain the audience. Ghadar turned out to be one of the highest grossers in the history of Indian cinema. Will history repeat itself? Let’s wait and see.
