Akshay Kumar is no stranger to trolls. He is often pulled by netizens because of his Canadian citizenship. Although the actor has never hidden or denied the fact that he holds a Canadian passport, he has been trolled online for the same. However, Akshay doesn’t care at all about being trolled and called the ‘Kumar of Canada’ on social media.
On Coffee With Karan 7, when Karan Johar asked Akshay if he was being trolled on social media, Khiladi Kumar replied, “Most people write about Canada. Which I don’t care about.” Karan then pointed out that trolls call him Kannada Kumar. To which he replied, “Yes, Kannada Kumar. Okay, call me that.”
Following this, Karan also asked Akshay about sharing screen space with younger actresses, which often brings him criticism in return. In response to the question, Akshay replied, “They are jealous. Why shouldn’t I? I can work with them. Lagta hun kya 55 ka (Do I look 55)?” In another segment, Karan asked Akshay which GenZ actor he would like to share his Khiladi title with, the answer came “Tiger Shroff”.
The episode was graced by Akshay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu together. Akshay made his stunning entry in true Khiladi style, carrying the show’s debutant Samantha in his arms. When Karan asked Akshay, “What would you do if Chris Rock pranked Tina?” while touching on the Chris Rock-Will Smith controversy at the Oscars, Akshay replied, “I’d pay for his funeral,” while hinting that no one can mess with his wife Twinkle Khanna.
During the show, Samantha also spoke about her divorce with Naga Chaitanya. She said they had bad feelings for each other and added that if they were kept in the same room, people would have to hide sharp objects. She also rubbished rumors that she took Rs 250 crore as maintenance from her ex-husband after the split.
