Hero’s father Ajith Kumar Subramaniam passed away today early morning. Ajith Kumar’s team released an official note confirming his father’s death and since then, social media has been pouring in condolences for the actor from fans and celebrities.
The statement was shared by Suresh Chandra, Ajith’s manager on his social media and read, “Our father, PS Mani, passed away in the early hours of this morning, in his sleep, after a long illness. He was 85. We are grateful for the care and support given to him and our family by a number of medical professionals, especially since his debilitating stroke four years ago. We are comforted, in this time of grief, that he lived a good life and knew the undying love of our mother, his partner of nearly six decades.”
Many took to social media to express their condolences. Trade analyst Sridhar Pillai tweeted, “#AK #PSMani’s father (85) passed away! Heartfelt condolences to #AjithKumar and his family. #omshanti”. Actor R Sarath Kumar tweeted, “My deepest condolences to dear #Ajith and his family, friends, relatives and well-wishers on the loss of his father. May his soul rest in peace”
The official statement also read: “We appreciate the kind messages, comforting messages and condolences that have been pouring in and ask for your understanding if we may not be able to take calls or respond to messages in a timely manner. His last rites will be a family affair. We trust that everyone who has experienced the loss will respect our wish to grieve privately and deal with his death with as much composure and dignity as possible. Ajith P. Subramaniam’s father is a Malayali from Palakkad, Kerala and is 85 years old. He is survived by his wife Mohini and three children Anup Kumar, Ajith Kumar and Anil Kumar.
