Drishyam 2 has finally hit the theaters and created waves at the box office as expected. Ajay Devgn and Tabu are back with another suspenseful drama and the audience is loving it. The film is said to be able to enter the 100 crore club in the first week. Talking about the first day collection at the box office as per the reports, it has started at 14.50 to 15 crores and that is quite an impressive figure for a mediocre budgeted film.
Drishyam 2 shined on its opening day but failed to beat the opening day collection of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra which reportedly collected Rs 36 crore on its opening day.
Having said that Drishyam 2 has done exceptionally well at the box office on its opening day compared to her other A-lister films like Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chadha, Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan and Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. LSC and Raksha Bandhan failed miserably at the box office due to the boycott trend and only Karthik’s film performed well.
There is only a minor difference between the collection of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Drishyam 3. Karthik Aryan who earned the title of superstar with this movie, he made Cole to fetch around 14.11 crores on the opening day. Talking about Drishyam 2, fans are going gaga over the release and love to watch it in theatres. Many trade pundits say that the trend of 12 am and 6 am telecast times is making a comeback thanks to Drishyam 2. Drishyam was a super hit at the box office, Ajay Devgn and Tabu were outstanding in the first part and fans were eagerly waiting for them to make a comeback with its second part, since the movie was released, the audience went crazy and even claimed that it is better than the first part. Drishyam 2 features the entire OG cast from the first part including Shriya Saran.
