As per the entertainment news reports in the trade, both Thank God and Ram Sethu have taken advance booking at the box office around 2 days back but today 22nd October Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrat Bharucha starrer has slightly ahead of Ajay Devgn, Siddharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles but very little. The margin of difference is very slim at this point, and suffice it to say, no call can be made on which film is ahead of the other in Diwali box office the competition, as things stand now, may take the lead in the big Diwali celebration.

At this point, both Thank God and Ram Sethu are eyeing box office openings of just under ₹10 crore nett each, which would be very disappointing, but the pre-Diwali period doesn’t always paint a proper picture of where a film will be headed and as given that both the films are releasing on the biggest holiday of the year for the box office, the venue bookings can increase exponentially to ensure that they light up the festival for Bollywood.
