After Deepika Chihlia, another actress digs in; this time to Prabhas’s gaze, “He looks like…”

Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush is one of the most awaited films of 2023. Ever since the teaser was released, the film has been in controversy for one reason or the other. The Om Raut directorial was heavily criticized for bad VFX in the teaser, but the team worked hard and impressed everyone with a jaw-dropping trailer. The mythological drama based on the epic Ramayana is just days away from its release and continues to garner negative remarks amid positive reviews from audiences across the country. Recently, Deepika Chikila buried herself in the characterization of the actors and no connection remains with her even after the film. Now, another actress has criticized the actors for their looks in the film. South Indian actress Kasturi claims that Prabhas’ look in Adipurush looks a lot like Karna from Mahabharata instead of Lord Ram from Ramayan. She took to her Twitter account and asked if in any tradition Lord Ramji and Laxman are depicted with mustaches and facial hair. She asks why this disturbing departure. Prabhas fans came in support and attacked Kasturi. One user asked Kasturi, “Have you seen Rama in person?” Another wrote, “Is there any source that says Sri Rama did not have facial hair throughout his avatar? What pointless cause for outrage is this?” Another fan commented: “Why do we only deal with mustaches? Earlier, Deepika Chikila, who played Sita in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, reacted to the Adiorush kiss controversy. Recently, at an event, director Om Raut kissed Kriti Sanon goodbye on the cheeks and received criticism on social media. Speaking to Aaj Tak, Dipika said that actors these days don’t get into the character nor understand his emotions. She said that Adipurush should be just another film for them and Kriti Sanon might not have considered Sitaji.

Adipurush will release in theaters on June 16, 2023. Apart from Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, the film stars Sunny Singh, Saif Ali Khan and Devdutt Nage. The film is directed by Om Raut and produced by Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series banners.
