And their assessment culminates in numbers in business. In 9 days Kerala Story became the fourth film to cross Rs 100 crore.
On Friday, Adah Sharma starrer Yogita Bihani, produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, made Rs 12.35 crore. On Saturday too, ‘Kerala Story’ went from strength to strength again collecting solid numbers on the second Saturday. It minted Rs 19.50 crore on its second Saturday and now The Kerala Files day 9 box office total stands at Rs 112.99 crore. Inspirational and amazing, right? Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the numbers online.
The Kerala Story joins Pathaan, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in Rs 100 crores club
Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham was the first film to cross Rs 100 crore this year. Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which released in March, is the second film of the year to earn Rs 100 crore. Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has become the third film to cross Rs 100 crore in 2023. A few hours ago, Adah Sharma thanked the audience for showering love on the film despite the bans, shadow bans and also the controversies it has caused. The film, for the uninitiated, has been banned in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu.
