Aaron Carter was looking forward to a bright and sober future just months before he was found dead in a bathtub aged 34 this weekend.
The pop star discussed how he became the best version of himself after recently completing rehab in one of his latest never-before-seen interviews.
The Aug. 7 chat took place with KFC chicken heiress Kayla Methven on the pilot episode of her talk show K’LA Afterdark.

Asked about his sobriety after his fourth round of treatment, Aaron said, “I think I’ve become the real, real authentic version of me.
“I went to rehab four times and I finally got better.”
In September, Aaron returned to rehab for a fifth time, despite claims he had not relapsed, in an outpatient program to deal with his “triggers.”

The I’m All About You singer, who has previously said he is bisexual, also raised the issue of his personal life in a discussion with Methven about enjoying “all the naked bodies”.
“I think men are beautiful, I think women are beautiful,” he said bluntly.
“I think anyone who is transgender is wonderful. I’ve even dated a transgender woman before.
The St. Petersburg, Fla., native came out publicly as bisexual in 2017, but later said the comments were “misconstrued.”

Police said Carter drowned, but did not say how the tragedy happened.
The singer has previously admitted that she is addicted to snoring.

Last month, Aaron’s fans were so worried about the singer that they called the police to ask officers to check on him.
TMZ reported that the requests for a welfare check came on the evening of Tuesday, September 20, after fans worried that the star might be using drugs off-camera while live-chatting on social media.
The screen went dark during the online conversation and some fans thought they heard splashes and inhalations in the background.

The Fool’s Gold artist, who previously revealed he has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, multiple personality disorder and anxiety, claimed online to be the “troll hunter” and sprayed what appeared to be air freshener. The incident comes just days after the troubled singer took to the web threatening to sue his girlfriend Martin, who at the time accused him of domestic violence but later backed off.
Both Aaron and Melanie lost custody of their son Prince, who is being cared for by his maternal grandmother.
Aaron claims he voluntarily checked into a month-long outpatient program through Lionrock Recovery so he could regain custody of the boy.
