Abraham & Thakore

This textile-focused brand launched their homeware almost three decades ago with a line of bed linen, bed accessories and lounge wear for stores like The Conran Shop, Selfridges, Liberty London and Harrods. They continue to draw on traditional Indian crafts and techniques—think handwoven fabrics embellished with embroidery, tie-dye and kantha—and use it in contemporary ways on their A&T home accessories like eye masks, tea cosies and hot water bottle covers available at the store. The A&T linen line though is only made-to-order now.

If it’s a larger-than-life aesthetic you are seeking, count on this maximalist designer duo to deliver. Their couture is akin to artworks, but so are their bespoke furniture and tapestries. Most recently, they collaborated with Lodha Luxury to dress a 76th-floor residence at Lodha Ciel in Mumbai with their signature flair. The result was decor made and sourced locally, be it the crystal chandeliers, the abla work wall art or the antique accent pieces from across India.
