Saarthie Entertainment and Aliens Pictures’ 72 Hoorain is the story of two spirits who wait for their entry into heaven.
Hakim (Pavan Raj Malhotra) and Bilal (Aamir Bashir) are troubled spirits waiting for their stairway to heaven after they died in bomb blasts orchestrated by themselves in Mumbai as a part… of their Jihad mission. In their backstory it is revealed that they were born as Pakistani nationals who had been instigated by their Maulvi Sadiq Sayed (Rasheed Naz) to kill innocent people in India by exploding bombs by manipulating them into believing that participating in Jihad’s mission will ensure their entry into heaven at their demise where they would be allowed to romance 72 angels.
As they await their entry into heaven, their hope turns into despair when they realise that their injured and dead bodies are lying unclaimed because of which they cannot enter heaven. Later, when finally when their dead bodies are buried, they realise that the Maulvi had fooled them because not a single angel is there to welcome them.
