The movie surpassed the collections of Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan, which held the title of the highest-grossing Malayalam movie ever.

Earlier, this record was for Mohanlal’s ‘Pulimurugan’ which was released seven years ago. 2018 not only surpassed the seven-long-year record of Pulimurugan but also emerged as the first Rs 150 crore worldwide grosser of the Malayalam movie industry.

In the Kerala Box Office, the 2 crore plus Saturday collection takes the overall gross to 77 crore plus. And the film is all set to cross Pulimurugan’s Kerala gross of 78.5 crore in the coming day.
Earlier, within 10 days of its release, 2018, entered the 100 crore club, and Jude’s film has earned the reputation of being the fastest Malayalam film to enter the 100 crore club. 2018 surpassed Lucifer, which reached the 100 crore club in 12 days, to achieve this record.
